Original sculpture carved from Indial Mahogany
This relief was carved while in residence in Venice, Italy in the Cannaregio section of the city. It is based on the original painting on the bell tower in Piazza San Marco. The winged lion, “Leone di San Marco”, is an important historical image to the Venetian people.
